Dakota Alert BBA-4000 Solar Wireless Photo Beam Driveway Alarm Kit
The Dakota Alert BBA-4000 is a wireless photo beam driveway alarm kit with a solar-powered BBT-4000 infrared sensor and a DCR-4000 receiver. Monitor a driveway, entrance, or outdoor access point and receive an audible alert when someone crosses the monitored beam.
How the photo beam works
The infrared sensing terminals can be mounted up to 300 feet apart. When the monitored beam is crossed, the sensor sends a wireless signal to the receiver. Motion outside the beam does not activate the sensor.
Dual-beam technology helps reduce activations from small animals and small objects. Mounting height can help keep dogs and other animals below the monitored beam.
Power and installation
- Outdoor sensor: Lithium-ion batteries recharge through solar panels during the day, so no power wiring is needed for the sensor.
- Indoor receiver: Uses a 110–120-volt electrical outlet.
- Beam distance: Up to 300 feet between the sensing terminals.
- Wireless transmission: Up to 4,000 feet to the receiver.
- Receiver: Four channels with volume control.
What's included
- One photo beam transmitter
- Lithium-ion batteries
- Reflector
- One volume-controlled four-channel receiver
Monitor entrances and outdoor areas
Set up the beam across an access point at a storage lot, trucking company, lumber yard, or car dealership. When someone crosses that beam, the receiver sounds an alert so you can check the entrance.
Additional photo beam sensor pairs can send signals to one receiver to monitor multiple areas or create perimeter coverage.
Alert tones and sound previews
The receiver offers the following tones: Ding Dong (high), Ding Dong (low), Westminster, Fur Elise, Alarm/Siren, Coo Coo Clock, Bird Chirping, Twinkle Twinkle, William Tell, Canon in D, Morning, and Toreador March.
Existing sound previews:

One-year manufacturer warranty.
